부산 아이파크(Busan IPark)는 부산광역시를 연고지로 하는 대한민국의 프로

축구단이다. 모태는 1979년에 창단된 새한자동차 실업축구단이며 대우 로얄즈

실업축구단을 거쳐 1983년 12월 3일 대우 로얄즈 프로축구단으로 재창단하여

실업축구단에서 프로축구단으로 공식 전환하였으며 원년 멤버로서 K리그 클래

식에 참가하고 있다. 원년부터 강호의 모습을 보여준 부산은 대한민국 최고의

명문 구단으로 자리잡아갔다. 특히 양지 축구단을 제외하고는 대한민국 최초로

아시아를 제패하였으며, 1997 시즌에 시즌 전관왕의 위업을 달성하였다. 대우

시절이 끝나고 2000년 현대산업개발의 인수 이후 성적은 점점 내려 앉았다. 20

07 시즌에는 최초로 두 자릿수 순위로 내려앉은 해였고, 3년 연속 한 자릿수 진

입에 고전하였다. 홈 구장은 64,640석 규모의 부산아시아드주경기장이다. 하지

만 경기장 특성상 관중석과 피치 사이의 간격이 너무 넓어 경기 관람의 애로점

으로 지적되고 있으며 경기장 규모가 팀의 평균관중에 비해 지나치게 커서 몇

년간 관중 동원면에서 K리그 최악의 성적을 받아왔다. 이에 구단측은 구단 클럽

하우스가 있는 부산 강서체육공원에 전용구장을 지어 이전하는 것을 추진했으나

여의치 않게 되어 2008 시즌부터는 육상 트랙 위에 가변좌석을 설치하였다.

 

Busan IPark (Korean: 부산 아이파크) is a South Korean professional

football club based in Busan, South Korea that currently competes

in the K League Classic. Its current home ground is Busan Asiad Stadium.

As one of the original five members of the Korean Super League, Busan

IPark holds the distinction of being one of three clubs (the others being

Pohang Steelers and Jeju United) to continuously compete in the K-League

since 1983, the league's inaugural season. Initially, the club was simply

called Daewoo in reference to the company that originally owned and

financed it. After being at the top of the league for most of the 1983 season,

Daewoo finished second in its league debut conceding the title to Hallelujah

FC by a single point after a goalless draw against Yukong Elephants (now

known as Jeju United FC) in the Masan Series. In its sophomore season,

the club turned professional, renamed itself as Daewoo Royals, and clinched

its first league title after defeating Yukong Elephants by an aggregate score

of 2-1 in the 1984 K-League Championship playoff. The Royals reached the

playoff after winning the second stage of a league which now included the

likes of Lucky-Goldstar Hwangso (now known as FC Seoul) and Hyundai

Horang-i(now known as Ulsan Hyundai).
