경남 FC는 K리그 클래식에 소속된 축구 클럽으로, 경상남도를 광역 연고지로 두고

있으며 현재 창원시에 홈구장이 있다. 경남 FC는 2006년 1월 17일에 공식 창단식을

가지고 그 해 K리그에 참가했다. 초대 감독은 박항서이며, 현 감독은 일리야 페트코

비치 감독이다 2010 시즌 부터 창원 축구센터를 홈구장으로 사용하기 시작하였다.

그간 사용해온 창원종합운동장은 종합 경기장의 특성상 경기 관람에 불편이 있었기

때문에 전용구장으로의 이전은 팬들에게 큰 선물이 되었다. 동시에 엠블럼 교체도

단행하며 팬들로부터 호응을 얻었다

 

Gyeongnam FC (Korean: 경남 FC) is a South Korean football club based in

Gyeongsangnam-do. Its home stadium is in Changwon, the capital of South

Gyeongsang Province. Gyeongnam FC was founded in 2006 and joined the

K-League as its 14th club for the 2006 season. Gyeongnam FC reached 12th

place in K-League 2006 in their first season, and achieved third place in the

Hauzen Cup.
